Little King and Queen Contest
Join us as we celebrate some of Troutarama’s youngest participants and crown this year’s Little King and Little Queen.
Event Details
Come cheer on some of Troutarama’s youngest participants as they take the stage for the Little King and Queen Contest. This longtime festival tradition gives contestants the opportunity to participate in the excitement of Troutarama and create special memories with their families and friends.
Contestant Requirements
Contestants must meet the following requirements to participate in the Little King & Queen Contest:
Age Requirement
Be 5, 6, or 7 years old on the date of the contest.
Residency or School Requirement
A parent, grandparent, or legal guardian must own property in Lake County OR the contestant must attend Baldwin Community Schools.
Previous Winner Requirement
Contestants who have previously been crowned Little King or Little Queen are not eligible to participate again.

Contestants are expected to attend the following events:
Contestant Meet & Greet Picnic
Date: Monday, July 13, 2026
Time: 5:30 PM
Location: Wenger Pavilion (Get Directions)
Contestants and their parents or guardians are invited to gather for a casual picnic, meet one another, and prepare for the upcoming Little King and Queen Contest.
Little King and Queen Contest
Date: Thursday, July 16, 2026
Contestant Check-In Time: 5:00 PM
Contest Begins: 5:30 PM
Location: Wenger Pavilion (Get Directions)
Contestants will take the stage for the annual Little King and Queen Contest, where they will be introduced to the audience and participate in this longtime Troutarama tradition. Family, friends, and community members are invited to attend, cheer on the contestants, and celebrate as the Little King and Little Queen are crowned.
Kids Parade
Date: Thursday, July 16, 2026
Parade Begins: 5:30 PM
Check-In Location: The Gremel Group Trout House (Get Directions)
Immediately following the contest, children are invited to join the Troutarama Kids Parade through downtown Baldwin on Michigan Ave. Little King and Queen contestants will ride together on a parade float while family, friends, and festival spectators are invited to cheer them on.
Grand Parade
Date: Saturday July 18, 2026
Contestant Check-In Time: 12:00 - 12:30 PM
Parade Begins: 1:00 PM
Location: Near Baldwin Bowling Center (Get Directions)
Contestants will participate in the Troutarama Grand Parade by riding together on the Little King and Queen parade float. Contestants must report to the lineup area near Baldwin Bowling Center and be in place no later than 12:30 PM.

Registration is required to participate in the Little King and Queen Contest. Parents or guardians may register their child online or in person at the Baldwin branch of Lake-Osceola State Bank.
